So I finally finished my Winter King which I started such a long time ago. It started off as a simple head study sketch and here's the final version which I will be using for a Graphic Illustration project in which we have to illustrate a magazine article.
I chose an article based on global warming and how it is effecting polar bears.
If you look closely you can see our planet on his face as well as other animals, and this is my attempt to show that global warming may at the moment be affecting animals that few of us get to see, but soon it will be affecting all of us, and I fear that by that point it will be too late.

Anyway, as I said, it started as a pencil sketch which was added to in photoshop.

I love/(am hurt by) how sad you made him look. Suits your purpose well and the intricate images in his fur add that much more meaning to the piece.
I find it amazing, though not surprising, that in this election global warming isn't on the highest of agendas.
*shrugs* the dwindling economy is more important I guess.

thankyou, I'm glad you think it's effective. It always astounds me that our 'glorious leaders' do not feel that the state of the planet we live on is not of primary importance, I mean afterall, it's not like we've got anywhere else to go!!

By the way I love your tag line, it's very meaningful

You never cease to amaze me Jenny...you're quite remarkable. I don't think there is anything I can comment on here that you could improve upon or fix. You really have more talent than you let yourself even be modest for...I just hope our teacher can appreciate this more than this low mark bell curve he has been giving
